We love new MEMBERS, and it shows!
The term "New Members" includes not only those who've never been on an indoor cycling bike before or have ever taken a kettlebell class, but also those who may have done it only once or twice, or perhaps returning members who've been away for so long that a refresher would be helpful.
One of the most common things we hear is that new members are intimidated by traditional gyms. Fear, uncertainty and doubt abound. Many gyms don't time the time to "show you the ropes" so to speak. As such, we've taken several steps to make the experience as easy and comfortable as possible!
Option 1: New MEMBERS Classes
First, we've introduced several classes geared towards new members, and we've sprinkled them throughout the schedule so that there should always be at least one spot in the schedule that will work for you.
The New Members class has two main objectives:
1. Education. We take about 15 minutes at the beginning of the class to provide background information and instruction on the operation of the bike & kettlebells, as well as tips and pointers and "do's and don'ts". We take the time and care to educate you about the whole process, including the various "positions" for , good form/posture, and more, so that you get the best workout possible, have the most fun you can, reduce the chances of you hurting yourself, and always feel informed and "in the loop."
2. We start slow. The New Members classes are meant to build your skills and perfect your form.
Option 2: SCHEDULE a one on one intro
We strongly recommend attending the New Members class first. However, if you just can't seem to coordinate your schedule with the available time slots, then you can always schedule a one on one intro with our trainors. *Special pricing is assigned for this service and is available on our Pricing page. Sometimes New Members may want that one on one instruction time with our trainors to feel more comfortable with the set up and review of our classes. What to expect and review of the various movements but at a pace that is slower then our classes. We love our New Members and want to help you reach your goals so if this is the best way to ease you into a full blown class, then let's do it!
What to Bring:
1. Water. Please make sure you bring plenty of water! You will be sweating quite a bit and will get dehyrated. We have a refrigerator with water bottles for sale at the GYM if you should forget yours.
2. Towel. You will sweat, so we encourage you to bring your own clean hand towel. We do have towels available to borrow as well, should you forget, but each member is encouraged to bring their own if at all possible.
3. Appropriate Clothing. You're coming for a workout, and you will sweat. So wear appropriate "gym clothing" such a shorts or loose fitting sweat pants, and t-shirt or tank top, etc. Don't come in tight fitting jeans or similar clothing that will restrict your ability to move. And again, you should work up a sweat if you do it right, so you won't want to be in silk or chiffon!
4. A fun attitude! We have a lot of fun - it's a great time! Be prepared to smile and have a blast, while getting a great workout!
